Sahayogi Social Welfare Association

Sahayogi Social Welfare Association is based at House No N0015 in Chhatrasal, Ghole. We are care of Shambhu Bondopadhyay. The house is pretty easy to find once you get into the Chhatrasal area. It’s a lived-in place, not a cold corporate office. We have a couple of rooms set aside for our work. It’s usually quiet here, which helps when we have to go through all the documents and files. We don't have any big signs or flashing lights. We prefer keeping things low-key. Most people who come to see us are from around Ghole. We sit in the main room and talk over whatever is going on. We don't have a fancy mission statement on the wall. We just do what needs to be done each day. Sometimes the cat from next door wanders in, but we don't mind. We use simple desks and old chairs. It’s comfortable and feels like home. We aren't interested in looking like a big business. We’re just a local association. We handle the paperwork, take the calls, and try to be helpful. If the phone rings and we don't answer, it’s probably because we’re out in the neighborhood. We don't have a secretary, so we do it all ourselves. It’s honest work and we like the people we meet. That’s really all there is to it at our spot in Chhatrasal.
