Sachdeva Rubber House

We are tucked away in Chhota Bazar at Kashmere Gate. The shop is number 264/A. It’s a very crowded market, always full of rickshaws and people moving goods back and forth. We sell rubber items, all sorts of things like hoses and seals. The smell of rubber is pretty strong when you first walk in, but we are used to it. The shelves are packed from the floor to the ceiling. Sometimes it takes us a minute to find the exact piece someone is looking for. It is a busy place most days. We have been here for years, watching the market change. The building is old and the lanes are very narrow. Most of our customers are mechanics or people from factories who need specific parts. We don’t have a fancy display window to show off. People just come in and tell us what they need. We spend a lot of time measuring things and cutting rubber to the right size. It is dusty work. We do not really do the whole social media thing. People know us because we have been at this same spot for so long. When the tea man comes by in the afternoon, that is usually our only real break. It is a hard-working atmosphere here. We just focus on getting the right parts to the people who need them. It is a simple business model that has worked for us. We are open early and stay until the market starts closing down for the night.
