Saanvi Clinical Laboratory & Diagnostics Private Limited is tucked away at 1106 in New Patel Nagar. If you’ve spent any time in this part of Delhi, you know that the lanes can be quite narrow and finding a parking spot is almost impossible. We operate out of a fairly modest space that is mostly taken up by the equipment and the desks where we process all the samples. Every morning starts quite early here, usually before the sun is even fully up, because that’s when most people want to get their tests done before heading to work. The air always has that slight smell of cleaning spirit and chemicals, which I guess is expected for a lab. We don’t have any big signs or flashy lights, just a simple board so people know they’ve reached the right number. The back room is where the real work happens with the machines running most of the day. Sometimes it gets a bit cramped when there are more than three people in the front office, but we manage just fine. We have a small cupboard for all the files and a fridge for the samples that needs constant monitoring. It isn't a glamorous job, but it’s what we do day in and day out. We just focus on the samples brought in and making sure the names are spelled correctly on the forms so there aren't any mix-ups later.
