R.K.Brush Manufacturing Co.

We’ve been working out of House No.9375 on Gaushala Road for quite a while now. This part of Kishan Ganj is always busy, especially Gali Malkhan Singh where our shop is tucked away. We make all sorts of brushes here. It’s a hands-on kind of business and the machines are usually humming along from early morning. My family started R.K.Brush Manufacturing Co. because there was always a need for cleaning tools in the local markets. The workspace isn’t very large, so we have to stay organized with all the wood and wire lying around. Sometimes the dust gets everywhere, but that’s just part of the trade. We don’t have a fancy showroom or a big office staff. It’s usually just us and a few helpers getting the orders ready for the trucks. People know they can find us if they walk down the alleyway past the main temple. We spend most of our time at the workbenches, making sure the bristles are set right. It isn’t glamorous work, but it keeps the lights on. We handle a lot of bulk orders for shops nearby. If you come by, you’ll probably find me at the front desk or helping out in the back. We try to keep things simple and just get the work done as it comes in. It’s been our home for years and we know the neighborhood well. There is always tea on the stove and someone ready to talk about an order.
