Rajni Auto Lights

Mori Gate is a maze if you don’t know your way around. We are tucked away in Street Doodhwali, Ram Bazar, at number 3300. The shop is Rajni Auto Lights. If you’re looking for a headlight for an old truck or a side mirror for a car, you might find us. The shop is small and the shelves are packed all the way to the top. There is a lot of dust because of all the boxes, but we know where everything is. Most of the time, it’s just us and the regular mechanics who come by. We don’t have a shiny showroom with lights and mirrors. It’s more of a warehouse feeling. We’ve been sitting here at 3300 for years. The street outside is narrow, so it’s always a struggle when a delivery comes in. We drink a lot of tea and talk to the other shop owners. It’s a tight community in Mori Gate. We don’t try to be anything we aren't. We sell lights and we talk shop. Sometimes the electricity flickers and we have to use a torch to find a specific bulb in the back of the store. It’s just how it is in this part of town. We stay open late most days because that’s when the mechanics finish their work and need parts for the next morning. It’s a bit messy, and the chairs are old, but we get the job done. If you need a light, you just have to come and ask.
