R K Cards

Down in Chawri Bazar, specifically at Kucha Mir Ashiq 232, you’ll find R K Cards. If you know this area, you know how crowded it gets with all the paper and card shops. We’ve been part of that chaos for a long time. Our shop is small and filled to the ceiling with different types of paper, envelopes, and card stock. It’s a bit of a maze in here. Usually, it’s just us sitting among the stacks, helping people who walk in looking for something specific for a wedding or an event. We don't have a website or anything like that; people just find us by walking through the lanes. The light isn't great inside, but we know our inventory by heart. Sometimes a customer comes in with a very specific idea and we have to dig through the back to find the right shade of cream or gold. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting heavy bundles and cutting things to size. The sounds of the market are always in the background—rickshaws, people shouting, and the general hum of the bazaar. We just keep our heads down and get the cards ready. It is a simple life and we like being in the heart of the old city. It feels real. We don't do much advertising because word of mouth usually does the trick for us. It keeps things manageable and honest for everyone involved.
