Prayashpds Eco-Social Foundation

Down here in North West Delhi, at KH NO. 199, House No. 1080 in Old Lal Dora, you’ll find the Prayashpds Eco-Social Foundation. We are on the ground floor, which is handy because people can just walk right in from the street. The area around here is pretty old and has a lot of history. We’ve been working out of this space for a bit, trying to balance things between helping people and looking after the local environment. It’s a bit of a mixed bag, really. One day we might be talking about garbage collection, and the next we’re helping a neighbor with a personal problem. There isn't a big manual for what we do. We just look at what’s happening in our part of Delhi and try to be useful. The office gets a bit dusty because of the road work nearby, but we don't mind. We use simple tools and don't spend money on things we don't need. It’s a very local operation. We know the shopkeepers nearby and the families who have lived here for generations. Sometimes things get a bit chaotic, but that's just life in North West Delhi. We’re just a small group of people who care about this neighborhood and want to see it do well. It’s hard work, but it’s worth it. We don't have fancy titles or a big board of directors, just regular people working hard.
