Our office is tucked away in Vardan House, over in the Chabi Ganj area of Kashmere Gate. If you know that part of town, you know how packed it gets. Prayash Tradewell Pvt Ltd has been in G-54 for quite a bit. The building is old, and the stairs can be a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up again. We spend our days surrounded by files and samples. It’s a trading business, so there’s always someone on the phone or someone coming in to check on a shipment. The streets outside are constantly full of rickshaws and people carrying goods, so it’s never quiet. We mostly deal with the logistics of buying and selling. Our desk space is a bit tight because of all the paperwork we have to keep track of. Sometimes we have tea brought in from the stall downstairs while we go over the day’s orders. It’s a bit chaotic, but we’re used to the pace of Kashmere Gate. There’s a certain way things work here, and you just have to go with the flow of the market. We don’t have any big corporate signs or a modern reception. It’s just a functional office where the work gets done. Most of our clients have been coming to us for years, so they know exactly where to find us in the maze of the building. It’s a busy, noisy, and very real part of the city to work in.
