Kashmere Gate is a crowded place, and we are tucked right into Prem Gali in the Bara Bazar area at number 1134. If you have ever been down these lanes, you know how narrow and packed they can get with people and goods. Pramod Auto Parts has been in this exact spot for years. Our shop is filled from floor to ceiling with boxes of spare parts for all kinds of vehicles. It smells like rubber and metal in here, which is just the way an auto shop should be. We don't have fancy displays or a computerized inventory system that works all the time. Instead, we rely on what we know and where we remember putting things. Sometimes it takes a few minutes to find the right part, but we usually have it buried somewhere. The market is loud and can be quite chaotic, but we are used to it. We know the other shopkeepers on the street, and we often help each other out. It is an old-fashioned way of doing business, but it works for us. We open the shutters early and stay until the sun starts to set and the market slows down. We don't do any promotion; people just find us because we’ve been here so long. It is just a small, honest shop doing what it has always done in the heart of the city.
