Parkash Calendar Co. is located at 4080-81 on Nai Sarak. If you know Delhi, you know how crowded Nai Sarak gets. It is a maze of shops and people and carts. We have been here for a long time, selling calendars and diaries. Our shop is packed from floor to ceiling. In the months before the new year, it is absolute chaos in here. We have boxes everywhere and people constantly coming in to see the new designs. The rest of the year is a bit slower for us. We use that time to get ready for the next rush. The shop is old, and the shelves are a bit dusty. We don't mind that. It is a real working shop. We don't have a fancy display window. You just see stacks of paper when you walk by. My grandfather started this place, and we have just kept it going. We know the other shop owners on the street. We share tea and complain about the heat in the summer. The ceiling fan in our shop is very old but it still works. We don't use computers much for the sales. We have a big book where we write everything down. It is how we have always done it. Sometimes we run out of a popular calendar and have to tell people to come back next week. It is a simple life in a very busy market. We are just here doing our job.
