Padavendr Jeevan Aadhaar Sashaktikaran Foundation

This is the Padavendr Jeevan Aadhaar Sashaktikaran Foundation. We operate out of Meena Bazar, which is a really intense place if you aren’t used to the crowds and the smells. We are tucked away in D.C. Lane, right with Dilip Kumar’s place. It’s not a corporate headquarters by any means. It’s more like a simple room where we keep all our things and meet people who need us. The name of the foundation is a bit of a mouthful, we know that. Most of us just call it the foundation when we’re talking to each other. Meena Bazar is full of history and noise, and being in a lane makes it a bit quieter but it is still very busy throughout the day. We don’t have a website with fancy graphics or anything like that. It’s mostly just Dilip and a few of us handling the daily stuff. The floor is plain concrete, and we have one of those old ceiling fans that makes a clicking sound when it’s on high. We spend a lot of time just talking to people who walk in. There’s no lobby or receptionist to greet you. You just walk in and someone is usually there sitting behind a heavy wooden table. It’s a very local way of doing things. We don’t really have a grand plan; we just deal with whatever is in front of us. It’s simple, maybe a bit messy at times, but it’s how we work.
