Mini Centre

We’ve been here at shop number 682 for quite a long time now. If you know Chandni Chowk, you know how Katra Mohd Deen gets during the busy hours. It’s always crowded and noisy outside our door, but that is just how life is in this part of Delhi. People come in looking for all sorts of small things. We mostly keep the basic stuff that everyone needs daily. Sometimes the shelves get a bit messy when we are busy, but we try to keep track of everything. It’s not a very big space, just a regular shop where we sit from morning until the market closes. Most of our neighbors have been here as long as we have, so we all know each other well. My father started this and now I spend most of my day here behind the counter. We don't really do anything fancy. There is no air conditioning, just an old ceiling fan that makes a bit of noise while we work. We see a lot of regular faces from the nearby lanes. Some people stop by just to say hello or ask for directions because the maze of Katra Mohd Deen can be confusing for newcomers. We just keep things moving and try to help whoever walks in. It’s a lot of work keeping the stock updated, but it keeps us busy. That’s pretty much what goes on here every single day. We don't have a website or anything, just this physical shop in the alley.
