Mahavir Motors

Down in Gurgaon at Ratan Garden 5, we have been running Mahavir Motors for quite some time. It is a straightforward place for people who have issues with their vehicles. We don't have a big glass showroom or a fancy waiting area with coffee machines. Most of the time, the floor is covered in oil spots and there are tools scattered near the jacks. We spend our days under hoods or looking at engines that have seen better days. The area around Ratan Garden is usually busy, so there is always someone coming in with a flat tire or a strange noise coming from their brakes. We tell people exactly what is wrong without using big words. If a part can be fixed, we fix it, and if it needs to be thrown away, we tell them that too. It is a lot of manual labor, bending over engines and lifting heavy tires. My back hurts some days, but that is part of the trade. We have a small office where we keep the ledgers, but I prefer being out where the cars are. The sun hits the front of the shop in the afternoon, making it pretty warm, so we keep the big doors wide open for the breeze. We aren't trying to be the biggest garage in Gurgaon, just the one where people feel like they can get their car sorted and get back on the road without any fuss.
