Mahavir Auto Traders

Being in Chandni Chowk, specifically on S P Mukherjee Marg, means it is always loud. Mahavir Auto Traders has been at 752-54 for a long time. The street is always packed with rickshaws and trucks unloading stuff. We deal with auto parts mostly. It’s a bit of a mess inside the shop, boxes stacked up to the ceiling. If you need a specific bolt or a headlight for an older model, we probably have it tucked away somewhere in the back. My father started this, and now I’m here most days. The tea man comes by three times a day, and that’s usually when we take a break. It’s not a clean place. You’ll get grease on your hands just walking through the door. We don't do fancy advertising. People know us because we’ve been here. Sometimes we don't have what someone wants, and I'll tell them which shop down the road might have it. That's just how it works here. We help each other out. The traffic outside never stops. Sometimes it takes an hour just for a delivery truck to get to our door. But we like the chaos. It feels like real work. We open early before the sun gets too hot and stay until the shutters go down all along the Marg. It’s just how life is at Mahavir Auto Traders. The bricks are old and the fans squeak, but it is our place and we keep it going every day.
