Mahalaxmi Motors is over at Mori Gate in Ram Bazar, specifically at number 2978. If you know Mori Gate at all, you know it’s the place to go for anything related to cars and motors. Our shop is right in the thick of all that. It’s a noisy area with horns honking and people carrying heavy iron parts everywhere. We deal with motor parts and various mechanical things that people need for their vehicles. The shop is filled with shelves from the floor all the way to the ceiling, mostly boxes of spare parts that have been sitting there for a while. It’s greasy and usually smells like engine oil, which is just part of the daily job. We don’t have a fancy showroom with glass windows. It’s more of a warehouse feel where people come to find that one specific part they can't find anywhere else. Sometimes we have to dig through the back piles to find something. We’ve been here for many years, and we know all the other shopkeepers in the bazar. It’s a tough environment, especially in the summer heat, but we’re used to it. We don't do much talking; people just come in with a part or a serial number, and we see if we have it in stock. The floor is usually stained with grease, and there’s always a bit of clutter on the front counter. We open early because the mechanics start their work then.
