Mahajan Precision Fasteners is tucked away in the busy streets of Hauz Qazi. Our office is at 2861/1/2, Gali Ghasi Ram, right in the Sirkiwalan area. If you’ve ever walked through these lanes, you know how crowded it gets with people and goods being moved around. It’s the heart of the hardware market in Old Delhi. Our space is filled from floor to ceiling with boxes of screws, bolts, and all kinds of fasteners. There isn't much room to move around, but we know exactly where every item is stored. We’ve been in this location for many years, following a long tradition of trade in the family. We don't have a modern office with air conditioning or fancy furniture. It’s just a counter where we talk to customers and stacks of hardware everywhere else. The air smells like metal and the streets outside are never quiet. We drink a lot of chai throughout the day to keep our energy up. Sometimes we have to shout a bit over the noise of the carts outside, but that’s just life in Sirkiwalan. We spend our days fulfilling orders for builders and workshops. It’s a lot of counting and packing small items into bags. We don't use much technology; we prefer to do things the way they’ve always been done here. It’s a busy life, but we wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
