Kesar Gems Llp

Working in Chandni Chowk is an experience every single day, especially at 1992 Naughara in the Kinari Bazar area. This part of Central Delhi has so much history in the walls, and our building is no different. The lanes are narrow, so you have to walk quite a bit to get to us, but that’s just how it is here. Inside Kesar Gems Llp, things are a bit more peaceful than the chaos outside. We have been here for a good amount of time, and the space feels lived in. There are old shelves lined with boxes and bits of equipment for checking the stones. The light comes in through the small windows in the morning, hitting the floor in a way that lets you know it’s time to start. We don't have a corporate office feel at all; it’s more like a workshop where things actually get done. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't found the time to move everything out of the way. Between the shouting of the delivery men in the bazar and the bells from the nearby temples, there is always a soundtrack to our day. We spend most of our hours looking through magnifying glasses or writing notes in our ledgers. It’s hard work on the eyes, but it’s what we know how to do. We keep the doors open when it's not too dusty.
