Divine Motors

You can find Divine Motors over at Mahal Sarai in Bara Bazar. The exact spot is No. 1215/3, which is right opposite the Sai Baba Mandir near Kasmere Gate. Being across from the temple means there is always a lot of movement outside our doors. On Thursdays, it gets especially busy with people coming for prayers. We work on motors and vehicles all day long. It’s greasy work, and our hands are rarely clean. The shop is a bit dusty because of the Kasmere Gate traffic, but we don't mind it much. We have a few benches for people to sit on while they wait, but mostly it is just a place for work. There is always a smell of oil and petrol in the air here. We have a small crew and we have been together for quite some time now. We talk about the local news while we handle the wrenches. It’s a practical kind of place. We don't have any flashy signs or posters. Just the tools on the walls and the cars parked out front. Sometimes the noise from the temple bells mixes with the sound of engines revving up. It’s just the daily rhythm for us at Mahal Sarai. We keep things straightforward and just focus on the task at hand. The morning starts early when the sun hits the street, and we stay until the shops nearby start pulling down their shutters for the night.
