Joginder Nursery

We’ve been at this spot near the Marina Hotel for a while now. Joginder Nursery is just a place where we keep a lot of plants and try to help people find something for their balcony or yard. It’s right across from the hotel, so it’s easy to spot if you’re looking for the Durga Chisti Masjid. We spend most of our days watering things and making sure the soil is right. It gets dusty out here sometimes with the traffic, but the green stuff makes it better. People stop by when they need a gift or just want to add some life to their flat. We don't have fancy displays. It's just rows of pots and bags of fertilizer sitting around. Some days are busier than others, especially when the weather starts to change. We mostly just know what grows well in this Delhi heat. If you need a specific shrub or just want to see what’s blooming, you can just walk in. The staff here, we just work with our hands and try to keep things alive. It’s not a big corporate setup, just a local nursery doing what we can. Sometimes the plants grow faster than we expect, and other times we have to struggle with the water supply. That's just how it goes with living things. We're usually here from morning until the sun goes down, just tending to the stock and chatting with whoever comes by.
