We are located down in Gali Telian, which is right in the middle of Tilak Bazaar. If you know the area, you know how narrow the lanes can get. Finding 1133/4 can be a bit tricky for someone who hasn’t been here before, but we’ve been here long enough that most locals can point you our way. Jalan Colour Company deals with exactly what the name suggests. There’s always some pigment or powder around, so things can get a bit messy if we aren't careful. It’s not a shiny showroom. It’s a working space where we mix things and pack them up for the day’s orders. The lighting isn't the best in the back, but we know where everything is kept. We start early because the bazaar gets so crowded by noon that moving goods becomes a real chore. Sometimes we sit outside on the steps when things are quiet. The smell of the market is something you just get used to after a week. We don't do much advertising; people usually find us through word of mouth or because their fathers did business with us years ago. It’s a simple setup. We have a few old fans that make a lot of noise in the summer. We just focus on getting the right colors out to the people who need them. It’s steady work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday every single week.
