Jairam Marbles (India) Pvt. Ltd. is situated at Plot No. 15/A & B. We are right on Bannerghatta Road, quite close to where Mico is. This part of the road is always packed with traffic, so we hear the vehicles all day. Our yard is quite large since marble takes up a lot of room. We have big slabs leaning against each other. It is a very dusty environment. If you walk around the plot, your shoes will definitely get white from the stone dust. We have a small office tucked away in one corner of the plot where we handle the billing and talk to people who stop by. It’s mostly just a practical space. We don’t have any fancy displays with lights. People just come in and look at the actual stone. The sun can be really hot out in the yard, so we try to do the heavy moving in the mornings if we can. There is a lot of noise when the cutters are going. It’s a basic operation. We have been here on Bannerghatta Road for a while, and we've seen the area change quite a bit with more buildings going up. It’s just us doing our thing with the stone every day. Some days are slow and others we have trucks waiting out on the road. We stay busy and get things loaded up.
