Imperial Woollen Industries

Our shop is right in the middle of Sadar Bazar, specifically at 528 Gali Bazazan. If you know the area, you know it’s right near the Uco Bank, which helps because the lanes here can be a real maze for anyone who isn't local. We deal with woolens and textiles, mostly. It gets really hectic during the colder months when everyone is looking for something warm to wear or use. The space is filled with heavy rolls of fabric and the smell of raw wool, which I’ve grown to like over the years. My grandfather used to say this street hasn't changed much in decades, and looking out the door, I think he’s right. It’s always crowded with rickshaws and people carrying big bundles on their heads. We aren't trying to be some high-end boutique. We just supply what people need and try to keep the stock moving. Sometimes the lighting inside isn't the best, so we end up taking samples out to the street just to show the real color to a customer in the sun. It’s a bit chaotic, but that’s just Sadar Bazar for you. We keep the books manually for the most part because it’s just easier for us to track things that way. It’s a lot of hard work and long hours, especially when a big shipment comes in and we have to squeeze it all into the back room. We've been here a long time.
