Hypex Automotive Parts is tucked away on the first floor of the Naryan Motor Market. If you know Kashmere Gate, you know how intense the motor markets can be. We are at number 632 on Haminton Road. It is a bit of a climb up the stairs, but once you are there, it is wall-to-wall parts. We have been here long enough that we know most of the other shopkeepers on the floor. The market is old, and the buildings have that worn-in look, but that’s where all the real business happens. We deal with various automotive components. Some days are just constant phone calls and packing boxes to send out to different states. Other days, local mechanics come up to find a specific bolt or light fixture. It is never really quiet. The air smells like old cardboard and metal. We don’t bother with fancy displays or anything. If you need a part, we find it in the stacks. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, but we just keep working with flashlights if we have to. It is just how things are done at Kashmere Gate. We appreciate the regulars who have been coming to us for years. It’s a small space, but we make it work for everyone.
