Hriday Welfare Forum

We are located right in the middle of Wazirabad, in Street Number 3. The address is a bit of a mouthful with all the Khasra numbers, but once you’re in the village, House No C-152/A is easy enough to spot. We operate from the ground floor, which is basically a few rooms converted into a workspace for Hriday Welfare Forum. It’s a busy area with a lot of movement, so there’s always something going on right outside our door. The office is pretty basic. We have some plastic chairs, a few old desks, and a lot of registers. We do most of our work by hand or on a single computer that we all share. It’s a local effort, and we know almost everyone on the street. People drop in all the time just to say hello or ask a question. It’s not the kind of place where you need an appointment. We deal with whatever problems come our way, mostly related to the neighborhood and the people living around here. The dust from the street gets in sometimes, and it can get quite loud with the traffic and the shops nearby, but we’re used to it. We don't have any fancy brochures or a glossy mission statement. We just try to help out where we can. It’s a humble setup, but it’s right where we need to be to stay connected with the community in North Delhi. We just keep at it every single day.
