Out here in Pandesara, at GIDC plot 294, is where Himson Textile Engineering Industries Pvt. Ltd. operates. It’s right near Vadod village. It’s a noisy place, as you’d expect from a workshop dealing with textile machinery. We’ve been set up here for quite some time. The floor is always busy with people working on different parts and machines. We aren't really about the fancy stuff you see in brochures. It’s more about the grease and the metal and making sure the engineering side of things is handled. The weather in Surat can be pretty brutal in the summer, especially inside a big industrial shed, but the team keeps at it. We see a lot of trucks coming in and out of the GIDC area all day long. It's a grit-and-grind kind of life. We started small and just kept building things up. Most of the guys here have been with us for years. They know the machines inside out. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything. We just focus on the work at hand. If you visit us, you’ll probably find someone drinking tea while looking over a blueprint or checking a lathe. It’s practical work. We’re proud of being in Vadod and being part of the textile history here. It’s just what we do, day in and day out.
