Our shop is right in the middle of the Kashmere Gate Main Market at number 238. If you have ever been through this market, you know it is one of the busiest and most crowded places for auto parts in the whole city. Space is very tight here, and we have boxes of spare parts stacked up almost to the door to make use of every corner. We mainly deal in items for cars and smaller commercial vehicles. It is a bit of a maze inside our four walls, but we know exactly where the gaskets, plugs, and lights are hidden away. The noise from the horns and the people shouting outside never really stops until late at night when the market closes. We open the shutters early because the mechanics like to get their supplies before they start their own work at the garages. We don't have any fancy signs or neon lights to bring people in from the street. Most of our customers have been coming to us for years because they know we carry the older parts that are hard to find elsewhere. We spend most of the day answering the phone and checking our stock levels. Sometimes we sit on small stools behind the counter and share tea with the other shop owners nearby to pass the time. It is a crowded and messy way to work, but it is what we know and do best. We just focus on getting the right part into the customer's hand.
