Hari Opthelmic

Hari Opthelmic is right here in Fatehpuri, tucked into Katra Baryan at numbers 41-42. It gets pretty crowded around here most days, especially in the afternoons when everyone is out on the street. We spend a lot of time just keeping things organized in the shop because space is tight in this part of town. If you know the area, you know how these old buildings are. We’ve been at this spot for a while now, dealing with all sorts of eye stuff and frames. It isn't a fancy place with bright lights and big displays, just a regular shop where we do our work. The stairs are a bit narrow and the air is always full of the smells from the nearby markets. Sometimes it’s noisy outside with the rickshaws and people shouting, but inside we just focus on what’s in front of us. We see a lot of the same faces from around the neighborhood. It’s a busy life here in Delhi. Usually, we open up in the morning and stay until the shutters go down late. There’s always something to do, whether it’s fixing a pair of glasses or just talking to someone who stopped in because they couldn't see the signs clearly anymore. We don't really do much advertising, people just find us by walking through the Katra. It’s a simple way of doing things, really. Just staying in one place and doing the work that needs doing every day.
