Shive Industries (India)

Shive Industries (India) is over in Ambedkar Nagar Haider Pur. The address is 225/4. It's a bit of a tight spot sometimes when trucks try to get down the road. Most days start pretty early here. We get the shutters up and check what needs doing for the day. Haider Pur is always moving. There’s a lot of noise from the street outside but we’re used to it by now. Inside, things are mostly about getting the orders sorted. We don't really have a big fancy office. It’s just a desk and some chairs where we sit to have tea. People know us around here because we’ve been at this spot for quite a while. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that’s just how it is. We deal with whatever comes our way. The floor gets dusty from all the work but someone usually sweeps it out by the evening. It’s not the biggest place in the world. You have to watch your step around the crates. We keep things simple. No one here wears a suit. We just wear our regular clothes and get our hands dirty. It’s a job and we do it every day. When the sun goes down, we lock up and head home like everyone else in the neighborhood. We don't have any fancy signs or big lights outside. Just the name on the door and the work going on inside. It’s been this way for years and we don't see any reason to change it now. We just keep going.
