H G & Company is situated on the second floor at No. 18, Kucha Choudhary, right in the heart of Chandni Chowk. If you know Chandni Chowk, you know how packed and loud it can be. Kucha Choudhary is no different. It’s a maze of shops and people, but we like being in the middle of all that energy. To get to us, you have to head up to the second floor. It’s a bit quieter up there than down on the street, but you can still hear the city moving. Our office has been in this spot for a long time. It feels old because it is, but it’s sturdy and it works for us. We have shelves full of ledgers and files because we still like having things on paper. It’s not a high-tech looking place, just a traditional business setup. We deal with a lot of different people every day. Some are regular traders from the market, others are new faces. We treat everyone the same way—just plain and simple. We don’t use corporate jargon or try to sound more important than we are. We’re just a local company doing our bit in a very famous part of Delhi. It gets dusty and the stairs are steep, but this is where we work and we wouldn't want to be anywhere else. We just keep moving forward with our daily tasks and helping those who find their way up here.
