You can find us in Block C2 of Pragati Market in Ashok Vihar Phase 2. We are situated on the mezzanine floor of Plot Number 12C. Getting up to the mezzanine is a bit of a climb because the stairs are quite narrow and steep. You have to watch your head as you come through the doorway. The market outside is always full of people, but once you get inside our unit, it’s a bit more manageable. We have a few desks squeezed into the space and a lot of cabinets for all the files we have to keep. Since it’s a mezzanine, the ceiling is a bit low, which makes the room feel smaller than it is. We spend most of our hours here looking at computer screens and talking to vendors on the phone. The market noise comes through the floor, so you always hear the sound of people bargaining or moving crates downstairs. It’s a practical space for what we do. We don’t have much room for a lounge or anything like that, so we just eat our lunch at our desks. The tea guy comes around twice a day, which is the highlight for most of us. We manage the logistics from here and keep track of everything coming in and out of the market. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze, but we’ve made it work for a long time.
