Gopal Art Service

Our little shop is over in the Vijay Nagar Market, specifically in the single storey section at number 22. It is right near the Gurudwara in Model Town, so there is usually a lot of foot traffic passing by. Gopal started this art service a long time ago. We handle a lot of different things, like painting signs or doing some design work for local shops around the market. It’s not a huge studio, just a practical space where we keep our paints and boards. Sometimes we are working on a big banner on the floor because there isn’t enough table space. You can usually smell the paint or the ink when you walk in. We spend a lot of time just sketching things out by hand before we get to the final part. It’s nice being part of this market because we know most of the other shopkeepers nearby. They come to us when they need a new board or just some lettering done. The light in the shop isn't always the best, so we often do the fine work near the front door. We aren't trying to be some fancy agency; we just like making things look decent. It is a bit of a squeeze when we have a lot of orders, but we manage to get things finished. It's a steady life here in Model Town, just doing our art and helping out neighbors.
