Gogia Paper Products is situated at 69, Chawri Bazar, right across from the Punjab National Bank. If you know Chawri Bazar, you know how crowded and loud it gets. Our shop is right in the middle of all that noise. We deal with paper in all its forms. There are stacks of reams and sheets piled up almost to the ceiling inside. It makes the space feel a bit tight, but we manage. We have been in this market for many years. We don't do much in terms of advertising or modern marketing. Most people find us because they are already walking through the bazar looking for materials. The daily routine involves moving a lot of heavy paper stock and dealing with delivery carts that get stuck in the narrow lanes. Sometimes the rain makes things difficult because we have to keep everything perfectly dry. It’s a constant struggle with the moisture and the dust of the old city. We keep our records mostly in hand-written books because that’s how we have always done it. It’s a busy life, and the work is repetitive, but we are used to the rhythm of the place. We just try to keep enough stock on hand so people can get what they need without a long wait. It’s just us and our paper.
