We are located at 500-B in Kucha Bulaqi Begum, which is part of the old Dariba Kalan area. It’s one of those narrow lanes where you really have to know where you’re going to find us. Gagan Brass Palace has been sitting in this corner for years, and not much has changed about the way we do things. The air always feels a bit different here, thick with the smell of metal and the history of the old city. Our shop is packed tight with things, and sometimes it feels like we’re running out of room to move around. It’s a lot of manual work, moving heavy pieces and making sure everything is where it should be. The street outside is usually full of people and rickshaws, making it quite a squeeze during the peak hours. We don’t have a big corporate office or a team of people in suits. It’s just us in the shop, handling the brass and talking to anyone who stops by. Sometimes the ceiling leaks a bit when it rains hard, and the floor is a bit uneven, but it’s our place. We’ve grown accustomed to the noise of the neighborhood and the way the light hits the lane in the late afternoon. It’s a simple setup, really. We just come in, open the shutters, and get to work until it’s time to head home. No frills, just a local business in an old part of town. We’ve been here long enough to know all the shopkeepers nearby.
