Fotogenic India

We are tucked away at 5061/21 in Ram Bhagat Market. If you know Sirki Walan, you know how busy it gets around Hauz Qazi. It’s always loud outside with people moving goods and carts rattling by on the street. Fotogenic India is just our small corner of the world. We’ve been here quite some time now. The shop isn't anything fancy to look at. We have some old shelves and a counter that has seen better days. But it works for what we do. We mostly deal with photography items. Sometimes the power goes out in the market and we just sit and chat with the neighbors until it comes back on. That's just how life is here. We don't have a big team or a human resources department. It’s just us. We open the shutters in the morning and close them when the sun goes down. Most people find us because they were walking by or a friend told them where we were. We don't spend money on big ads or anything like that. We just focus on the people who walk through the door. Some days are slow and we just tidy up the stock. Other days we don't even have time to eat lunch. We like the chaos of Hauz Qazi though. It keeps things interesting every single day. You never know who is going to walk in with a broken camera or a question about lenses. We just do our work and hope people are happy with it.
