Durga Parsad Kasera (Khushboo Cards)

If you have ever been to Chawri Bazar, you already know how it is. It is packed, loud, and full of history at every corner. Durga Parsad Kasera (Khushboo Cards) is located at 3671, right in the middle of all that constant movement. The shop isn’t huge, but every single inch of it is used for something. We have been here in this part of Old Delhi for a very long time. You see the same faces every day, the same rickshaws squeezing through the narrow lanes. It is a bit of a maze if you aren't local to the area. We start early because the market gets almost impossible to navigate by noon. The building is old, like most things around here, and it has that specific smell of paper and old stone. We don’t have fancy air conditioning that works all the time, just a few fans and the door left open to the street. People come in looking for specific things and we do our best to find them in the tall stacks. It is a lot of manual work, moving boxes and checking lists. We don’t do much marketing or anything. People just know we are here at 3671. It is a tough place to work sometimes because of the heat and the crowds, but it is home to us. The stairs are narrow and the ceiling is a bit low, but we have everything we need.
