You will find us at number 282 in the middle of Chawri Bazar. If you know Delhi, you know this market is the heart of the paper and card trade. Our shop is right in the thick of it, where the lanes are narrow and the cycle rickshaws are always ringing their bells. We spend our days surrounded by hundreds of samples of wedding cards and different types of art paper. It’s a very old building, and the walls have that aged look that only comes with time. The space is small, so we have to stack things all the way to the ceiling. It can be a bit overwhelming for someone visiting for the first time, but we know exactly where everything is kept. During the wedding season, the pace here is absolutely frantic. We are constantly talking to families who are looking for something specific for their big day. There’s a lot of dust from all the paper, and the light in the shop isn't the brightest, but we make do. We don't have a fancy showroom; it’s just a practical workspace where we get things done. We’ve seen the market change over the years, but 282 Chawri Bazar stays pretty much the same. Most days, we are here from morning until late at night, just making sure the card orders are printed and ready for collection. It’s hard work, but it’s part of the life here.
