Dr Habib Poly Clinic

If you walk down the Main Bazar near Turkman Gate, you’ll find Dr Habib Poly Clinic at Shop no-2436 in Haj Manzil. It’s a very busy area, full of life and noise from the market. The shop is small, and we have to be smart about how we use the space. Haj Manzil is an old building with a lot of history, and you can feel that when you walk in. Outside, the streets are narrow and crowded with shoppers and vendors selling everything you can imagine. It’s quite a walk from the main road, but everyone knows Turkman Gate. Inside the clinic, it’s a bit more peaceful, though you can still hear the shouting and the bells from the bazar. We have a small desk and some chairs tucked into the corners. It’s a tight fit when more than three people are waiting. We spend a lot of time talking to the local shopkeepers who pop in for a quick word. The light in the bazar is always a bit dim because of the tall buildings, so we keep the lamps on all day. It’s a humble little place, nothing fancy at all. We just open up the shutters every morning and see who comes by. It’s a part of the daily rhythm of the Main Bazar. We’ve been in this shop for years and know every crack in the wall, and we just keep doing what we do for the neighborhood people.
