Our office is situated at 80 B.D. Estate on Mall Road in Delhi. The pincode is 110054 if you’re looking it up on a map. This area has a certain feel to it, being near the university and the old parts of the city. Our space is part of a larger estate, so there is usually a bit of room for the trucks to pull in when we have things coming or going. The building itself is pretty basic, just bricks and concrete with a big metal door. Inside, we have divided the area into a small office and a larger section for storage. It’s often a bit cluttered because we get a lot of samples and packages delivered throughout the week. The light in the morning is quite nice, but by the afternoon it gets a bit dim in the back corners. We have a couple of old wooden desks where we do the billing and talk to the people who drop by. There is a small tea stall just outside the estate gates where we usually go for a break. The phone rings a lot, and we spend a fair bit of time on the line trying to coordinate things. It’s a practical way of working without any unnecessary fluff. We just focus on getting the orders sorted and making sure the inventory matches what’s on the paper. It’s a long day, but we like the routine of it. Mall Road is always interesting.
