You can find Chauhan Cards & Arts located in Raghu Ganj 4009, which is a busy little corner of Chawri Bazar. This whole area is known for paper and cards, so there is always a lot of movement and noise outside our door. We mostly focus on making cards for different occasions, like weddings or local events. Our shop is filled with samples of different textures, colors, and weights of paper. It can get a bit overwhelming when a family comes in and everyone has a different opinion on what looks good. We spend a lot of our time showing people the different options and trying to figure out what fits their needs. The space is small, so we have to be careful about where we store the stock so it doesn't get bent or dusty. We’ve been at this address for quite some time now. Most of our work is done on the older machines that have been with us since we started. It’s not a fancy showroom; it’s more of a workshop where we actually do the cutting and the printing. Sometimes we run out of a certain type of envelope and have to go hunting through the neighborhood to find a match. It’s just how things work in Chawri Bazar. We don't use much technology for the designs, mostly sticking to the traditional ways that people around here still prefer. We just take it one order at a time.
