We are located at D-3 in H. S. G House, over in Prashant Vihar. Chandra Lakshmi Safety Glass Limited has been operating from this spot for a while now. The building is one of those typical commercial structures you find around here, nothing too flashy. Working with safety glass means our day is full of specific processes that you can't really rush. The workshop floor is always the busiest part of the building. We have a lot of racks for storing the finished sheets, and you have to be mindful of where you step. The office side of things is pretty basic—just some desks, a couple of computers, and a lot of logbooks. Prashant Vihar is a decent enough area, though parking can be a real headache in the afternoons. We see a lot of different people coming through for orders, from small contractors to bigger builders. There’s a certain routine to the day that everyone follows. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to make the place look like a showroom. It’s just a place where work gets done. Sometimes the machines need a bit of temperamental handling, but the guys know them inside out. It's a bit loud and a bit messy, but that’s just the nature of the business. We focus on the glass and making sure the crates are packed tight before they leave the yard. It’s a long day usually, but we manage to keep up with everything that needs doing before we close for the evening.
