You can find us at Shop Number 1879, specifically in Room Number 5 on the ground floor. We are tucked away in Kucha Chelan, which is right in the heart of Khari Baoli. If you know Delhi, you know this area smells like every spice imaginable. It’s a very old part of the city, and the streets are narrow and always crowded with handcarts and people. Working at Caitilin Impex means being part of that daily rush. Our office isn't very big, just enough room for a few desks and the ledgers we use to track our imports and exports. We do a lot of business right here from this small room. The walls are thick and old, which helps keep it a bit cooler in the summer. We don't go for anything flashy; we just focus on the goods coming in and out. Most of our day is spent negotiating prices or checking the quality of shipments. It's a lot of manual work and talking to people face-to-face, which is how things still run in Khari Baoli. Sometimes the deliveries are late because a truck got stuck in the narrow lanes, but we just deal with it. It’s a lived-in space that has seen a lot of years. We like the history of the neighborhood and wouldn't really want to be anywhere else, even with the constant noise outside. It is just our corner of the market.
