Be-The-Reason Foundation

Be-The-Reason Foundation is out in Village Zindpur, at Khasra Number 47. It’s a bit further out in North Delhi, so it’s got a different feel than the middle of the city. You see more open space and fewer tall buildings around here. Our office is a straightforward setup in a building that’s been there for years. It’s nothing fancy, just a place to keep our stuff and meet up. We spend a lot of time out and about, so the office is mostly a home base. It can get a bit dusty with the roads nearby, but we don't mind much. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. You just walk in and find whoever is working that day. It’s a very informal atmosphere. We use old desks and whatever chairs we could find. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit and talk until it comes back on. That’s just part of being in Zindpur. We don't have a big budget for fancy things, and we prefer it that way. Most of us grew up nearby or have lived in Delhi a long time. We know the area well. It’s just honest work being done by local people. We aren't trying to look like a global corporation. We’re just a small foundation in a village setting, doing what we can with what we have. It is not always easy, but we just keep showing up every morning.
