B. R. Bangles

We are located at shop number 20 inside Swadeshi Market in Sadar Bazar. If you know the market, you know it’s always crowded and loud, which we’ve grown to like. We sell bangles of all sorts. The walls are covered from top to bottom with boxes. Sometimes it takes us a minute to find the exact color someone is looking for because there are just so many. We spend our days climbing up and down the little ladder to reach the high shelves. It’s a simple business. We don't have a website that does much or any of that modern stuff. People just walk in, look at the glass cases, and pick what they want. The market can be exhausting with all the shouting and the heat, but it’s where we belong. We’ve seen a lot of changes in Sadar Bazar over the years, but our little stall stays mostly the same. My hands are usually stained with a bit of dye or glitter by the end of the day. We don't bother with fancy packaging unless someone asks for it. Usually, we just wrap things in newspaper or simple bags and hand them over. It's just a regular way to make a living, selling colorful things to people who pass by. The hustle is constant, but it keeps us on our toes and the days go by fast. It's a living.
