People who know Kashmere Gate know how crowded Nicholson Road gets on a Tuesday morning. Autolife International is tucked away inside the Gurunanak Charitable Trust Market at number 7. It’s not a fancy office or anything like that. Just a practical space where we handle all the auto parts and supplies. Most days start with us opening the shutters early because the trucks come in and out before the traffic gets too bad. We spend a lot of time checking boxes and making sure the inventory is right. The neighbors around here are all doing similar work, so there is a lot of noise from packing tape and metal parts moving. It’s just how things are in this part of town. We’ve been here for a while now. The walls could use a bit of paint but we are usually too busy to bother with it. We handle a lot of different components for vehicles. Some days are slow and we just sit outside having tea from the corner stall. Other days, we can’t even find a place to stand because of all the stock coming in. It’s honest work and we just try to keep things moving. We don't have a big corporate team, just a few of us making sure everything gets where it needs to go without too much trouble. We deal with regular customers who have been coming to this market for decades.
