Ankit Auto Agency

We are tucked away at 197 Prem Gali in the Punja Sharif area, right by Kashmere Gate. It’s a busy part of town, especially with all the auto parts businesses around here. At Ankit Auto Agency, things can get pretty crowded inside the shop. We have shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling filled with different components. It smells like grease and old metal in here, which I guess is normal for a place like ours. Most of the time, we’re busy fetching parts for mechanics or people trying to fix their own cars. It's a lot of lifting and searching through bins. We don't really have a fancy waiting area or anything like that. People just stand by the counter and wait while we find what they need. Sometimes we have to order things in if we don't have them on hand. The street outside is always packed with rickshaws and delivery bikes, so it's never quiet. My brother and I run the place mostly, along with a couple of helpers who know the inventory better than anyone. We’ve been at this spot for years. The floor is a bit stained and the light flickers sometimes, but it’s home to us. We just keep working through the day until the sun goes down and we can finally lock up. It’s a lot of manual labor, but we know the parts and we know the cars, and that’s what keeps us going every day.
