Our shop is tucked away at 704 Kashmere Gate in the Chota Bazar area. If you know Delhi, then you already know how crowded it gets around here near the Bijli Ghar. It is a loud place with horns honking and people carrying heavy boxes of spare parts through the lanes. We have been working out of this spot for many years dealing with motor parts and various engine components. The shelves are packed tight with gaskets, filters, and all sorts of metal bits for cars and trucks. It is greasy work and our hands are usually stained by the end of the day. People come to us when they cannot find a specific part in the newer, cleaner shops. We know the layout of this market like the back of our hands. Sometimes it takes a little while to find exactly what a customer needs in the stacks, but we always get there. We are not trying to be a big flashy showroom for anyone. It is just a shop where we talk about engines and prices all day long. The air smells like oil and old iron, which is fine by us. It is honest work in a part of the city that never really stops moving. We see all kinds of mechanics and drivers coming through the door from early morning until late evening.
