If you're driving down the Old G T Karnal Road, you'll find Anand Auto Service. We're right there on the main stretch. It's a busy road, always full of dust and noise from the passing trucks and buses. We've been fixing cars and scooters here for a long time. The floor is stained with oil and there’s usually a couple of engines taken apart on the workbenches. We don’t have a waiting room with a TV or anything like that. People usually just stand around and talk while we work or go grab a tea from the stall nearby. It’s a small team of us. We know our way around a wrench and we don't mind getting dirty. Sometimes we’re short-staffed and things take a bit longer than they should, but we try to be fair about it. The tools are old but they work fine. We’ve seen all sorts of vehicles come through here, from brand new cars to stuff that should have been scrapped years ago. It’s a bit chaotic when three people show up at once with flat tires or engine trouble. We just do the best we can with what we’ve got. The sign out front is a bit faded from the sun, but everyone in the area knows where we are. We aren't trying to be a fancy dealership service center with glass walls. We're just a local garage where you can get your oil changed and your brakes checked without a lot of fuss or high prices.
