Our office is tucked away on the mezzanine floor of Aradhna Bhawan. If you know where Aakash Cinema is in Azadpur, then you are pretty much there. It’s a busy commercial complex, so there is always noise from the street and people moving around the different levels. Being at M-7 means we have a bit of a view of the stairs, and we see the delivery guys coming and going all day long. Ajit Industries has been operating out of this spot for a good while. The mezzanine level is a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes when we have a lot of stuff coming in, but we make it work. It’s not the newest building in the world, but it has character and it’s right in the middle of everything. Azadpur is a hectic place to be, especially with the market traffic, but it keeps us on our toes. We usually get in early before the heat and the crowds really pick up. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, stacks of files, and the sound of the fans going. We don’t spend much time worrying about the decor. We are more focused on getting through the daily tasks and making sure the orders are sorted. Sometimes the lift in the building is slow, so we just take the stairs. It’s a practical place for a practical kind of business, and that’s fine by us. We stay until the work is done, regardless of the time on the clock.
