Ajanta Sales

Sadar Bazar is always a bit much in the mornings. You have to navigate around the carts and the people unloading stuff right in the middle of Sadar Nala Road. We are up on the first floor at 5165. Things get moving early here. Most days at Ajanta Sales start with just moving boxes out of the way so we can actually walk through the place. The fans keep things moving, but it gets hot. Being on the first floor means we hear everything from the street below, the horns and the shouting. It’s just how it is. I’ve lived in this city a long time and worked in this area even longer. The walls are a bit dusty and the light isn't the best, but we get the work done. Someone usually brings tea around eleven. Daily life follows a pattern. We open up, check what came in, and try to keep things organized, though that’s easier said than done in this building. Sometimes the electricity goes for a bit, so we just sit by the window for some light. It’s not a fancy setup. It’s just a place on Sadar Nala Road where we spend most of our hours. We’ve been here at this address for a while now and everyone around knows us. It’s loud and crowded, but it’s home for the business. We just keep at it.
