If you’ve ever been to Sadar Bazar, you know how packed Rui Mandi gets. Our shop, Aggarwal Jewellers, is right there at 5005, right in the thick of it all. It’s a loud place, with people shouting and carts pushing past all day. We’ve been in this spot for a long time, and the walls probably have plenty of stories to tell if they could talk. The space is small, but every inch of it is used for something. We open up early and usually stay late, just like the other shops on the street. It’s not a quiet life here, but we like the energy of the market. Inside, things are a bit more controlled, even if it feels cramped when a few people come in at once. We don’t spend much on making the place look like a palace; it’s just a regular shop where we do our business. You can hear the noise from the street coming through the front door constantly. Sometimes we stand outside for a bit of air, watching the crowd move through Rui Mandi. It’s a hard place to work if you don’t like people, but we’re used to the chaos by now. We just keep the counters clean and wait for whoever walks in next. There’s no fancy marketing here, just us sitting behind the glass cases day after day. It’s a living, and it’s what we know best in this busy market.
